A Journey of Recovery and Love

A Journey Of Recovery and Love

February is a month where we celebrate love. Whether it’s loving ourselves or others, love can be the greatest gift of all.

CC and Danny Summers have known each other since they were about fifteen years old. “The relationship started off with the base of drugs,” CC admited; he was her dealer. Both were doing “normal partying and being young.”

“The pill scene just really started taking off,” Danny said. “That was such an easy thing to do and keep your life together.” Until it wasn’t. Eventually things escalated into “ten years of craziness [with] raising a kid, addiction, running…”

Listen to Rage Against Addiction’s latest ‘Rage Talk’ episode to find out how two people who struggled with addiction for over a decade found love for each other and for recovery. CC and Danny will take you on a powerful journey through the many paths of addiction and shame to the light at the end of the tunnel that is hope, recovery, and love. Check out the episode here: “Supporting Each Other…”

Not every relationship can withstand the test of time when addiction is the priority. Danny and CC are a great example of how what is meant to be will be. Finding their recovery individually brought them back together stronger as a couple and family.

Come see what we’re all about and meet some of the team at our various events throughout the winter and spring!

Our biggest and most powerful event is fast approaching! Please join us on April 1st at Cedar Lane Regional Park in Bel Air, MD to support recovery, heal families, remember lives lost to addiction, and to spread hope. This fundraiser is a way for communities to come together. Addiction cannot win if we all fight against it. Bring your family and friends, hold up pictures of those you’re celebrating or remembering, meet the Rage team, and connect with others going through the same tough battles. You are not alone.

How you can be a part of this big day? It’s easy…!
